Heritage Baptist Church supports fifteen missionaries around the world. It operates Desoto Christian School for grades K-12. Bimonthly youth and young adult activites are generally held on Friday nights. The church cooperates with the Heartland Youth Fellowship, consisting of 5 churches in central Florida. A bus ministry, consisting of three vehicles, picks up youth in adults for church throughout Desoto county.
